Child Care Subsidy

Helps cover the cost of approved child care for children aged 0–13. The subsidy amount depends on your combined family income and the activity level of the parents.

What you get

A percentage of child care fees paid directly to the approved provider, reducing your out-of-pocket cost. Families earning under $80,000 combined may receive up to 90% subsidy. The rate tapers as income increases, cutting out at ~$533,280.

1. Apply through myGov. 2. Confirm you meet the activity test (work, study, volunteering). 3. Enrol your child with an approved provider. 4. The provider will claim the subsidy on your behalf.
